Rear-Admiral William Moss Landymore (b 31 July 1916, Brantford, Ontario) is a Canadian naval officer. He studied at the Royal Military College of Canada, cadet # 2399 in 1934.

Landymore entered the Royal Canadian Navy in 1936, making Lieutenant by 1940. He served on convoy escort in the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, and in the Ocean, in the Second World War.

He was a Naval Cadet on the HMS Frobisher training Cruiser. He was a Midshipman to HMS Emerald and Palestine Campaign service. He was acting Sub-Lieutenant to HMCS Fraser in 1940 and survived the sinking. He was promoted Sub-Lieutenant 01 March 1939. [http://www.rcnvr.com/L%20-%20RCN%20-%20WW2.php William Landymore ]

He served as Lieutenant to HMCS Margaree and survived the sinking. He was acting LCdr and served as Gunnery Officer in HMCS Uganda. He was Lieutenant-Commander Naval HQ as Staff Gunnery Officer. He was Commander, Commanding Officer of HMCS Iroquois where he was awarded MID. During the Korean War, he held command of " " for the duration. He was promoted captain in 1953, and served on a variety of stations, making admiral and assuming Flag Officer, Pacific Coast, in 1963. He was acting Captain, Commander Canadian Destroyers FarEast when he was awarded a OBE. He served as Rear-Admiral Flag Officer Atlantic Coast / Commander Maritime Command in 1962. Landymore became Officer Commanding Maritime Command in 1963, only to become embroiled in "a bitter public disagreement" [Milner, Marc. Honours

He was awarded a MID as per Canada Gazette of 5 January 1946 and London Gazette of 1 January 1946 in recognition of his service to HMCS Uganda. He was awarded the Naval General Service Medal, Bar Palestine for his service to HMS Emerald for training Palestine Campaign service in 1937. He was awarded an OBE and a MIDfor his Korean War Service as Commanding Officer of HMCS Iroquois (I) a Tribal Class Destroyer from 21 October 1951 to 31 October 1953.
